Breakthrough Prize in Mathematics

One Breakthrough Prize in Mathematics is given each year.

The winner receives $3 million. In exceptional circumstances, when a prize is awarded for joint work, the committee may split the prize.

New Horizons in Mathematics Prize

The New Horizons in Mathematics Prize of $100,000 is awarded to promising early-career researchers who have already produced important work. Each year, up to three New Horizons in Mathematics Prizes are awarded.

Maryam Mirzakhani New Frontiers Prize

The Maryam Mirzakhani New Frontiers Prize of $50,000 is presented to women mathematicians who have completed their PhDs within the previous two years. Each year, up to three Maryam Mirzakhani New Frontiers Prize are awarded.

The mathematics prizes were founded by Yuri Milner and are funded by grants from the foundations established by Yuri and Julia Milner.
