Comments

I feel honored and very lucky being recognized and rewarded for simply doing what I like - mathematics is much more a passion than a job. I have had the great privilege of sharing this passion with wonderful people whose ideas and enthusiasm enrich my work every day. I thank all of them (students, co-authors and colleagues) for this gift. Among the long list of people who played a key role in my professional life, I would like to express my gratitude to my Ph.D. adviser Stanislav Smirnov, and to Wendelin Werner, who both excel in the difficult art of being mentors. Finally, I would like to extend a special thank to Vincent Tassion: it is so important to be enthusiastic, obsessed, passionate, optimistic and sometimes wrong when doing mathematics… and it is always more fun to do it with somebody else.
