I am very honored to receive the New Horizon Prize. I would like to thank two great universities, namely Peking University and MIT, for providing me my livelihood while I pursue my heart’s desire: mathematics. I would like to thank my mentors who taught me the beauty of mathematics, and my collaborators with whom I share the joy of creation and discovery. I wish to thank the community for the recognition of my work. I am also very grateful to my family for their constant support. Finally, I’d like to say I always feel blessed to be working in mathematics, which creates a self-contained world in which we are free.
