2017 New Horizons in Mathematics Prize

For pioneering work in geometric representation theory, including the development of Hodge theory for Soergel bimodules and the proof of the Kazhdan-Lusztig conjectures for general Coxeter groups.

I am very grateful for the many opportunities I have been given. Probably most important is time and space in which to think and do research. Thanks to my colleagues for their work in creating and sustaining the fascinating field in which we work (as well as for their attempts to keep me honest!). Finally, thanks to my family and friends for their wonderful support.
