How does Nature work at the shortest of distances? We live at a time where answers can be proposed and concretely tested, and it is amazing to be able to work full-time on this endeavor. I would like to thank all my mentors and collaborators, and especially Guy Moore and Nima Arkani-Hamed, for showing how to tackle challenging problems and for inspiring the highest scientific ideals to which one can only aspire. I am grateful for all the unanticipated opportunities I have had, and would like to thank my parents and spouse for their support and inspiration. Merci.
