2019 New Horizons in Physics Prize
For research on present and future ground-based detectors of gravitational waves.
The fortunate moments that have brought me to this one are more than I can count, and the people who have helped me along the way are more than I can name, though I would be remiss not to note that my wife is foremost among them. The fact that my job, scientific research, is something that I enjoy and get paid to do is wonderful; being honored with a prize for having such luck is incredible. I am thrilled to have arrived at this most fortunate moment, and to be part of this celebration of curiosity.
